Here’s another idea for a seasonal Romantic Moment.
Your neighborhood, like mine, has probably come alive. Twinkling lights flash, chase each other, cycling between dim and bright. Lights light up or outline “Christmas trees.” Brilliant colors outline rooftops and wrap around “Christmas trees.” Bare branches shimmer under strands of glowing bulbs. Inflatable snowmen and Santas sway in the winter breeze as if trying to break free. Reindeer, penguins, trains, sleighs—and even glowing plastic classics—fill front yards with cheerful charm. Large Menorahs stand tall in quiet elegance.
Pick an evening where you and your partner can take two hours to slowly meander (on foot or in your car) through several neighborhoods and enjoy the various holiday decorations.

Then when you return home, linger over coffee or a cozy drink. Light a candle. Melt a scent. Talk about how decorations have changed since childhood. And what decorations do you remember? What decorations feel like “home” to you? Relax. Savor the season. And share a Romantic Moment to warm the air.
I have additional Romantic Moment ideas for this season on my Instagram account. Check them out.
