Hope you never hear these 8 heartbreaking words for a relationship.
Leroy and Belinda had been together about eight years. They traveled together. Spent holidays with families. Each part of and accepted by the other’s. Their lives intertwined.
Yet for a year or so, Leroy felt a distance developing between them.
At first it was subtle. Leroy wrote it off to busy schedules. Then he noticed Belinda’s terms of endearment for him had disappeared. “I love yous” weren’t always reciprocated. In fact, she rarely initiated them. Cursory pecks on the cheek replaced intimate embraces and kisses. Romance had evaporated into distant memories. Intimacy was absent. The relationship felt platonic.

Leroy decided to address his concerns. Was he the cause? Was he doing or not doing something?
He brought it up a couple times. She seemed to blow off his concerns. It was just their relationship maturing past puppy love.
You might have guessed what finally happened.
Two days later, Belinda contacted Leroy. She told him those 8 heartbreaking words. “Leroy, I just realized what you mean to me.” But it was too late.
What about your relationship?
- Does your partner know what he/she means to you?
- Have you told them lately?
- Have you demonstrated their importance to you?
- Have you romanced them, created Romantic Moments?

All relationships go from the fireworks of newness to a flame of mature relationship. The secret is to prevent it from dimming to romance-less embers, then dying in the forgetfulness of neglect.
Before you hear those 8 saddest words, ask yourself: are you and your partner satisfied with the state of your relationship? Is romance still alive?
Maybe it’s time to reignite things and create a Romantic Moment with your partner. Then create another. And keep adding fuel to the flame of romance in your relationship until the connection between you again burns strong and bright.
Do you think this happens in relationships? Do you know someone who needs to read this?
A further suggestion: Save this post as a reminder to never stop romancing your partner.
