The Romantic Moment Most Couples Accidentally Miss

Have you missed the best part of a Romantic Moment?

A decade ago, my daughter and I started a tradition. I’d visit her in February. Who else but dad would visit during a Minnesota winter?

For months we’d plan the visit.
• Flights.
• Chatting while walking all three levels of the Mall of America.
• Candlelight snowshoeing.
• Hugge Festival in Cook County.

The excitement would build as the visit approached. Then suddenly, before I knew it, I’d be back at the airport heading home, the visit already becoming a memory.

Looking back, I realize something. During my visit, I wasn’t always fully present. I’d be busy thinking of where to eat. Things to do. Movies to watch. Would the weather cooperate. Where do we eat next.

And I’d missed the best part – simply enjoying time with my daughter.

Have you ever done that and missed a great Romanic Moment with your partner?

You’d meticulously planned the Moment. During the time together, you’d been anxious that everything stayed on track. And if something went sideways, you spent your energy struggling to force it back on to your carefully planned path.

But in the process, you missed the joy of this Romantic Moment.

Here’s a better approach.

Go ahead. Plan the Romantic Moment.
• Make reservations.
• Arrange childcare.
• Allow enough travel time.
• Organize what you need.

But once the Romantic Moment begins, let go and enjoy it. Don’t fret about possible unexpected complications. Relax. Be present. Just relish the time together. And if something snarls your detailed plans, address it together. Sometimes those little detours become the most memorable part of that Romantic Moment.

Don’t miss out on a great Romantic Moment because you’re busy trying to manage it. Allow yourself to simply enjoy the time together. Those shared moments often become the best grin-worthy memories you cherish.

We are appreciative of your romance suggestions. We especially like the one where you suggested that we kiss each other for 10 seconds. Keep going with romance.

The timely arrival of the product was appreciated. I followed the suggestions and my wife was surprised and excited. I am not a real romantic person. What I received was just what the doctor ordered. You will be hearing from me before long for something else.

Never before had I experienced such a meeting! In 2 hours we covered elements of romance overlooked by our fast paced life styles. I thought it may be a seminar on sex, but I was pleasantly surprised to observe that romance, thought it may lead to a sexual encounter, is NOT sex but has a deepening & enriching effect on the relationship. I think this seminar should be taught to our young people, college ag & married adults.
